RateGain Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a specialist in delivering travel and hospitality technology solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alejandro Gomez Losada, as its Country Head – Sales for Latin America (LATAM). Alex will be spearheading RateGain’s business development.
Alex has joined RateGain from Despegar, a leading online travel agency in LATAM, where he was the Head of Strategic Partnerships (Affiliates) for a period of over 3 years. His areas of expertise spanned across competitive travel booking, pricing, mobile, travel branding and marketing.
He also liaised with C-Level executives worldwide as the Head of all global chain negotiations and business development and brings in-depth industry proficiency to the organization. Through 2012 and 2013, Alex headed partner acquisitions, business developments and account management for LATAM, while serving as the Senior Account Manager Hotels at Booking.com. Prior to this, he held several key positions across huge hospitality brands such as the InterContinental Hotels Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.

Alex will be responsible for contributing to the company’s overall strategy and increasing offerings to both existing and new clients. Extending client coverage and intensifying links within the LATAM hospitality community, alongside developing and reinforcing new partnerships in the region, will be some of his key tasks.

Alex pursued a professional coursework as head, at the UTN (National Technological University), Buenos Aires, in Professional Integration, Revenue Management, virtual environment and asynchronous nonattendance. He has received his BS in Business Administration from the National University of Quilmes and a Diploma in Training Management and Competency Model, Human Resources from the Universidad Santo Tomas. Alex also holds a BS in Hotel Management and Culinary Services from Escuela Superior de Hoteleria.
Alex will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
